About the Atlas

The purpose of this Atlas is to:

  1. Allow users to visualise dynamic thematic maps of India on green, blue and brown environment issues
  2. Meet the educational and research goals of all users
  3. Provide easy and convenient access to geo-spatial data
  4. Provide information in the Pressure – State – Impact – Response (PSIR) framework
  5. Regularly provide the public, government, non-government organisations and decision makers with accurate, timely and accessible information
